You will need:
2 Pears Peeled, Cored and Thinly Sliced
4 Apples Peeled, Cored & Thinly Sliced
4 Teaspoons of Caster Sugar
240g Wholemeal Plain Flour
180g Butter Chopped Coarsely
150g Brown Sugar
3 Tablespoons Rolled Oats
Mixed Spice
Place thinly sliced pear and apple into a saucepan. Sprinkle with caster sugar and just cover with water. Stew until soft then drain and place into shallow ovenproof dish.
Place flour into a small bowl and rub in butter until mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Stir in brown sugar and oats. Sprinkle over pears and apples then lightly dust with Mixed Spice.
Bake in moderate oven about 15 mins or until just browned.
